You might have started this 90 day challenge, or made a commitment to start a new goal because you desired something about your life to change or improve. You imagined what it would be like to stop doing the things you don't like about your life, or to have more energy, or gain some health, but what did you expect would happen once you got started. Sit with that question for a minute. I would like to stop having a glass of wine on Friday nights, but in the back of my mind, I don't really expect that I will stop drinking it because I enjoy it so much. What would change if I started to expect that I won't need the wine because I believe that I will be satisfied with something else instead? Our desires may get us into it, but our expectations will likely get us our result.
