A Providence ladder truck collided with a car at River Ave and Eaton St in the city. The Nissan Maxima then struck another Maxima from behind at the intersection. Two people from the third vehicle were transported to the hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle told me that the fire truck was traveling south on River Ave when the front of the apparatus struck the front wheel area of his vehicle. There were three people in the vehicle including a young boy, none of them were injured. The fire truck sustained no major damage.
