Taylorcraft equipped with non amphib floats uses a roll back running down the runway at the Hartselle, Alabama airport, to get up speed for take-off, then it flys back to the marian on the Tennesee River.

  • Why does it say non amphib floats ?

  • because that is what they are, at least that is another way to put it, floats that do not have retractable wheels, or as I stated, non-amphib (non-amphibian), meaning they are stricly for use on the water only.....but amphibious floats with the wheels that come out, allow land or water ops. :)

  • Oh my god that is GORGEOUS. My dad has owned a T-Craft since about as long as I can remember and I had no idea it could do something like this.

  • up up and awaaaaaaay

  • first off i would like to have seen the whole rig before hand ,however that was cool my brother has told me about doing that,i said to him can you land the same way LOL

  • Oh man! That was pretty sweet! The FAA would flip their wigs if they ever saw that happen. Unless obviously they approved it.

  • Really interesting to see that. How fast does the trailer need to go to get some lift?

That seems to be a very rugged plane.

    Nice video, Fun stuff.
