  • It's the cold start injector and it's the only thing on the upper half of the intake manifold that has a fuel line running to it.

  • Yeah. Once the leak was plugged idle was perfect. Vacuum controls a lot of stuff.

  • I lost one of the screws that holds in the cold start injector. No huge deal to fix.

  • Mine does the same or worse on a hot start.

I went through the entire intake system with a fine toothed comb, cleaned everything replaced ALL the intake gaskets.

It STILL does the exact same thing.

Also I have a very slight but regular miss at warm idle, one cylinder about every 3 seconds.

  • hello my name is Tom I have the same problem I have checked everything were it the cold air injector located and the open bolt hole. thanks

  • Gonna check mine tommorrow....sounds identical ...did yours run fine but just had a crappy idle?

  • Where was the open bolt hole?
