christians are obsessed with their "sin." adam ate a apple put there by god himself and then god gets pissed when he eats it. so all humankind is "damned" for this? literally or figuratively, this is ridiculous. She says she wants to take advantage of the this life and that is why she doesn't want to believe in God. In other words, to deny the God of the bible is how she can take advantage of this life. The truth is, she wants to sin which is what she calls taking advantage of this life. To her sinning is equal to taking advantage of this life. She probably means she wants to have sinful sex because what does the bible say we shouldn't take advantage of? That amounts to spreading disease.

this chick didn't prove anything, very poor argument. to grantydg...the bible does specify that when you die your flesh returns to the earth it came from, the spirit returns to God because he gave it us, and the soul is judged on judgement day for its eternal sentence...lake of fire, or the new jerusalem

@GrantyDg Funny thing is... the bible says over and over that when you die you don't go anywhere but just lay in your grave until eaten by bugs. Seems not too many christians read the bible though.

So I guess the bible and atheists agree, hell and heaven (in the clouds with the bearded guy) are relatively modern ideas and based on the kids version of christianity.

@pengendownload not only in Indonesia this kinds of rituals exists. In all parts of the world, people are still worshiping spirits and stuff. People with DIFFERENT beliefs, DIFFERENT gods than the Indonesians. Yet all believe they are being possessed by some supernatural being, and are 100% convinced THEIR belief is real. Sounds illogical to me.

I hope someday you can come to Indonesia, and watch the traditional dance (i.e. "Kuda Lumping"). When the performers are so called possessed by demon, they will start to eat glasses (real glasses / porcelain) using bare mouth without bleeding. At that time you can try to eat the same glass. If your mouth bleeds, then you must believe that demon does exist.. Haha... :))
