Hellbender Salamander

This is a Hellbener slamander that we found while on our trip to Virginia. He was found in a river next to a dam, next to a mussel farm.

Did you know that the plastic container you are holding this Hellbender in is one of the reasons for its decline in recent decades. It has also caused problems with human fertility in the drinking water because all plastics sold in Western Countries including the United States leach Estrogen mimickers into the food and water than they contain. They also leach out a chemical that binds to the male hormone testoterone and prevents it from being taken up by testosterone recepters in the body.

Hopefully you let him out again? I think it is sad to keep animals in prison away from their natural living.

I sometimes have small salamanders in my bathroom but they come there freely and I have to move them before showering in order not to hurt them. :)

@Bendixensen Oh yeah we put him back after filming him. We just put him in the container so that we could get a better look at him. He was awesome.

@anewkindofangel so the resent oil spill is natural is tearing down forest is natural so us pulluting the air with factories and the water happens befor we were here bees disapering happened before we were here us droping nukes happens naturally us killing chetahs for their hide was gonna happen any way with out us being here 93% of endangered species are caused by humans the other 7% is caused by killing each other because of being over crowded which is our fault for citing down forest preserv

Animals will go extinct and always have even before humans were even around. The earth spews out tons of oils and gasses on it's own naturally. The earths climate changes naturally and always has, humans hardly effect any of the atmosphere as much as you all think they do. Scientifically all the shit you hear about us effecting the atmosphere as much as we do is completely theory that has more factual information disproving that proving it. BTW Nice video, nice find. Very beautiful animal.

I'm not naive enough to believe its by accident either i firmly believe its by design this has been the Dream of Eugenists for at least the last 100 years or so look up it for yourself. Eco-science by John P. Holdren the current White house Science Czar since the obama administration. He talks about putting sterilants in the water and food suppy but it just doesn't affect humanity its impacts nature as a whole right across the board !!!
