Rocks are made by hand directly at the placement. The character of shaping is usually done by one person so as the rocks seem to come from the same quarry. This technique is used by Ron Noonan for swimming pool bottoms which use a vinyl liner underneath similar to as the Romans built their pools that outlasted most structures built by man. This method may also be used for walkways and decks around pools or unique rock gardens where you shape and stain the rocks as you want them.
