i was a huge 14/15 fan. the navy already went special ed and got rid of the tomcats. i was hoping the airforce would keep their good bird around a little bit longer. evidently, not even the 22 can replace them. oh yeah... n this coming from a Navy airdale.

i dont like the raptor. it's over priced. and was trying to take the spot of a combat flawless aircraft. No F-15 has been shot down in combat. ever. why replace something that has an 4783219748932-0 record?? (just threw a number out there). supersonic in under a minute??? i understand the raptor is also fast and probably a lil better at the "new age" technology. but it came out (mainstream) right b4 the economy dropped and has no use. up close, it looks bulky and is the loudest thing ever.

I was there, cried that day

No problem

Alright thanks.

It's all over the web..just search "su-30 sustained turn rate"
The Su-30's (Non canard/TVC) sustained turn rate is 22 degrees per second on a new airframe. BUT..thats clean and nearly empty fuel. Its actual turn rate at combat weight and load (which is where the F-15 is calculated) is closer to 17.
-
Do you know what the su-30's is? Is there a website I could get this stuff?
-
The Raptors Sustained turn rate is 28 degrees per second..roughly, the instanteneous turn rate is well above 30 degrees.
-
Dang, thats really good for a fighter without TVC. Isn't the raptors like 26 or 28
quick question. After the min radius turn, does he go inverted to put blood back towards the brain? I know they are trained to handle the g quite well, but is this the reason for that in the show?

I dont think thats the case, but good thinking though. Ive seen the F-15 west demo always go inverted after the turn. It looks way better in person.
