their first album came out in 1989...

I know very well that Green Day was formed in 1987 and that their first record came out in 1989. However, this is of no relevance as Wonderwall was released in 1995, and so before the Boulevard of Broken Dreams single in 2004. This means that there is a possibility that Green Day ripped oasis off, which I think is not true.
