  • Lol I hope that was a pun on L'Arc en Ciel because it is most definitely a Japanese rock band.

  • Yeah, that was intended to be humor.

Since my comedic delivery is obviously lacking, I should either add a rimshot from the sound effects library, overlay an emoticon :-) , or just stop trying to be witty.

  • Production IG does consistently great work, and Seirei is no exception. They have a real fondness for strong female leads, which is a great thing no matter how you look at it. Balsa's back story was simply remarkable and spoke a lot about her character (and were my favourite episodes out of the series).

Easily one of the best series from 2007.

  • Thanks for turning me on to this show. The story and characters were familiar but unique at the same time. They really should do more anime based on novels and not just manga.

  • This one is my FAVORITE anime that I've seen so far. The characters aren't typical and neither is the plot. At least in my opinion. So thanks for your reviews, they're pretty accurate :)

  • This series was rather oddly broadcasted here in the U.S., they played the first 10 episodes, repeated them, then just stopped with no warning or explanation, would you know anything about that?

Although I agree the fights were "kickass", after episode 3 they took a rather long time to get to the next fight, and it made the entire series come off sort of "slow-paced" for me.

  • The odd thing is that, just like Le Portrait de Petit Cossette, their name isn't grammatically correct. Commonly when I listen to song in full or partial "engrish", and they make a mistake in their word choice, I don't know whether to still be gratified over how they seem to idolize us, or "facepalm" for how something like that can pass for music with them.

  • Good point about "needless fights" in anime. I do hate those battles of misunderstanding, but I guess they are supposed to "force" drama.

I remember this series and I really liked it. One of the few "strong" female leads out there!

  • Nice review. This was my favorite anime series from last year.

  • The only bad about the show is how the ending is pretty cliche in a way, and there was no real 'final battle' to speak of. It's disheartening that all the biggest battles are at the beginning of the show, not near the end. Oh well. Still a fantastic story that *mostly* defies cliches.

  • I remember watching one episode at AX 07 XD
