@dighsx Most use a GPS system of some sort. East of England use a terrafix system. This shows ambulance control where every vehicle and their status. The system also contains information about the call they are going to and a full map and directions, all on a single screen. Best way to help their driving is simply to slow down and make sure you leave room. The driver won't always need you to stop.. It is also important to indicate to the driver that you are aware of their presence.

Was that a real run or a test? Also do you guys have gps in those ambulances? Seems you'd have to know the lay of the land pretty well doing that job. And lastly whats the best way for us drivers to get out of your way. Do you want us to pull over or just stop where we are? Be interesting to hear your take on all that.
All the best,
Jay

@dighsx Yep a real patient going to hospital. Quite a sick chap. Depending on what type of road, slow down, show you have seen me by indicating and if safe to do so, pull over and stop. Policeblues999 is right, ish. The new buses have a think called Terrafix, or airfix as we call it. It is a touch screen with a GPS system and all the details of the job. I will see about doing a video on the inside tonight.
