Gotta say, the "Uploader Comments" (mainly the ppl they replied to that received "too many negative votes") blow my mind. It's like these people didn't even watch the movie, but were just told that it was very negative towards religion and this guy was a liberal, so they decided to comment on that. For anyone that has followed Bill Mahers stand up acts, as well as his HBO talk show, you'd know that religion isn't at the front of his discussions, but when it comes up he has poignant remarks.

I was a Christian for close to 15 years. I worked in my church for 2.5 of those years. It dawned on me at about 17yrs old that it was all bullshit. Then I saw this movie and it was like a slap in the face.
My shame for even being a part of any religious group, let alone the one that's completely about the money, knows no bounds. I will never return to religion.

@germinc: Because it isn't only book written millenniums ago that gives me the confidence to know of God. It is faith. Faith is the hope of things not seen. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Also, there is none righteous, not even one. Both of these comments are in the Bible, both are common sense. I live my life on faith in Jesus Christ and trust in the Lord, God.

"Does it not drain ones motivation to improve life on earth while we're here?" He thinks he's a real smart feller huh? I know what Jesus Christ has done for my life. That makes me a believer & one that feels sorry for him. No Mr. Maher, the Bible also states to fight the GOOD fight. Do what's RIGHT & to love one another. Religion does ruin Christianity I agree. Sounds like he doesn't believe in God, yet thinks he's rational. Hardly.

@boogernat I know what my parents have done for me in my life. To imbue me with self belief in my own abilities without a need for deities or god. My destiny is in my own hands. Do you feel sorry for me? Nah, I am confident in my own solitude to disregard the need to believe in an extraterrestrial power. I hope one day you will be strong enough too.

Bill Maher is a ultra-liberal nutcase. Totally uninformed. He says just enough to make it sound like he is rational, but if you listen carefully, you will find that he does not believe in an all-powerful God and Creator of the universe. I feel sorry for him. He will end up being one of many who will be left behind and will have to face the Tribulation in all of it's horror, and there, be forced to declare where his loyalties lie. Either he will surrender to Christ & live, or to Satan & die.

@tjbeaman1 The entire point of the movie is to show that he doesn't believe in an all-powerful God and Creator. You hardly have to "listen carefully" to know that. Indeed, many WILL be left behind, because if there is a God, not only is he selfish, he also has a identity crisis. Every religion and cult in the world believes the rest will be left behind. What makes your religion different other than relying on a book written millenniums ago?
