I am shocked they did not buzz her when she said iris

@floridapanthersroar It's late 1978.
-
@jaydee624 well, the celebrity says 'Yes', telling the contestant she got it right. the guy controlling the box was late.

I enjoyed the clip of someone winning the full $20,000 on "The $20,000 Pyramid." The program did a much better job over ABC Television than it was on CBS Television. The should return with a new version called "The $60,000 Pyramid" in syndication or in assocaition with the ABC Television Network. A Solid 5!! The first guests: Kim Delaney and Andrea Thompson from "NYPD Blue" fame.

19 episodes from the first CBS run exist.
-
You're correct, it is Anita Gillette. She was one of the better players on "Pyramid" during it's first CBS and then ABC run. Didn't see her too much after the move to Los Angeles. Guess she was a New York lady at heart.

the timing seems off here.For the last answer, they get up and hug before they turn the last pyramid box over.

What date is this?

items. you need to check your spelling.

On and off lights might be borderline as an acceptable clue; they might buzz it for being too descriptive. Other than that, those are good clues.
*BUZZ* You'd be describing the category instead of listing itmes.

That would have been fine in the regular game, but in the Winner's Circle that is WAY too descriptive and would've been buzzed.
