Inviting Mark Driscoll to a conversation at the event Stories From The Shack

William Paul Young has invited Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church to come to Seattle to discuss their differences over theology in Paul's book, The Shack.
So far Mark hasn't responded, yes or no.
This video gives an explanation of why Paul extended his invitation and where the idea came from.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that the average Christian who claims "The Shack" is Heresy has not even read the book. Mark Dricoll has not even read the Book. This book poses a threat to preachers who collect money, plain and simple. You can always tell the truth because it is on the side of the one who doesnt have an ax to grind. You do not need to defend the truth. Paul young doesnt need to prove his book, it proves it self because of its powerful message.

As long as the debate focuses on the enumerated heresies that Young has written...quite honestly Paul doesn't stand a chance. your book is replete with falsehoods, enumerated heresies, and pure myths. Sadly many "brethren", claim that they have come to understand the Trinity more fully. . 2 Corinthians 10:5. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

So Driscoll's theology is beyond question? Hmm. Sounds like idolatry friend. Dialogue between brothers is a good thing. I think we can all agree this is an in-family debate.

Unfortunately, it's on display for the world to see. I hope they get to see a loving interaction.

It'll be interesting to see if Driscoll responds.. I watched Driscoll's rant on the Shack and my view is he's blowing hot air.... "modalism" ? Young is not a modalist from what I can gather.... Driscoll, the self proclaimed pastor of theology in his church... a job description found nowhere in the Bible... I think he should look in the mirror....
