Original song performed at The Smiling Dog Saloon in Cleveland, Ohio on August 27, 1975. Recorded from the live simulcast on WMMS 100.7 FM (The Buzzard)
Sorry there's no live video too; If I ever find any, I'll replace it. But this'll have to do for now.
After about 3:30, it gets more interesting...

  • I have a question? Where did you get a copy of the music? Was it from the broadcast of WMMS Midnight concert series?

    Please let me know.

  • this is sooooo badass

got a black eye just listenin'

    (but worth it)

  • With out a doubt one of the best and MOST underrated bands ever. Saw them a couple times in Winston Salem NC in the 80's. Amazingly tight twin guitar work, put on a great "NO jumping around BS" show! Really miss that kind of music, they just don't make-um like that anymore.... sigh

  • RIP Ronnie Hammond.

  • Timeless. There is no other word except great music that will live long after those who try and mimic it.

  • Just got "Dog Days" out on vinyl for a spin, first time I've listened to it in YEARS, & this was probably my fav song, along with "Crazy".....

  • Thanks for putting the ARS videos out there!

  • ARS..... is the BEST....... THESE BOYS SURE KNOW HOW TO ROCK...... the original members are SMOKIN HOT...and so TALENTED......

and the members today are still ROCKIN IT........ I LOVE YA GUYS..... Thank to all of you.... for the music.... and the memories it still brings back when I hear your music....

  • I never cease to be amazed at just how good this band was, Goddard's bass runs on this song are Viagra for the soul. I love Buddy Buie but his influence in the studio watered down so much of their sound. He almost turned Homesick into elevator music....This is first time I've heard this song live...this rocks !
