Banks and financiers wilfully gambling
Our lives and futures
Gonna take us down just to get what they want
Whatever the cost whenever they please

This is what you get from generations
Of corporate wheeling and dealing
This is the result of financial self-interest
And a culture of greed
This is the outcome of allowing these people
Control of our planet
This is what you get when individuals
Put themselves before collective need

Stealing resources in a desperate world
From the poor and innocent
Control in Libya, controlling Afghanistan
Controlling Iraq
Increasing imperialist pain on the way
You better believe it
Centuries of lustful economic desire
Keeping us down and on our backs

Children will always stand and cry
And old folk live and die in pain
While the hideous rulers of this world
