Master System sold well but couldn't compete with NES's super popularity. You can say it was the Saturn of its age in popularity's terms and the Playstation of the era was NES.

@GamingPalooza I agree. Just like the Dreamcast. Sega had really good consoles.. the only one that sold well was the Genesis. i dont know about the Master System tho.. Sega Saturn is a really good console nonetheless. if i could have the choice right now.. for my PS3 & Xbox 360 or a Sega Saturn & Dreamcast with 5 games for each. i would pick the Sega Consoles. btw.. SEGA RULES!
