My first reticulated python was a normal and our literally took her 2 months before she stopped biting me and even after that she still bit and struck the cage when I walked by lol. But shes a sweet heart now

Well don't piss her off, and maybe she wou;dn't act like that.

@ondre200 Whether she cares about a hook or not, she needs to get used to one and you or your friend or both need to learn to properly use one. She may be little now, but Retics have some very long teeth and they have a bit of a serrated edge along the back and they can do MAJOR damage. As in need the services of a vascular surgeon and a neurosurgeon king of damage. The trick is to learn to minimize the risk of a bite.

I don't think your gonna want this thing when its 15 feet. long... I see it's been about 4 year... have you gotten rid of it?

I bet this snake is dead by now.

i just purchased a whise phase albino female hatchling and she is NOTHING like the tiger retic i had. she is by far the most aggressive little female in my snake collection lol hopefully she will tame down
-
is it just me or do retic's faces remind you of a pitbull?
-
it is not a big enough snake to do much harm BUT it can still cause some damage, if ur not afraid reach in fastly and grab it behind the jaw bone and it wont be able to bight. hold it like that and it should relax. you should pad the cage so it doesnt injure itself and you should stop teasing it. it is definetly going to get hurt.

i allways put a blankit over the head then pick it up
Why are you enticing the snake to strike? I hope that snake bites your ass.

she's come along, just enough for me to get her poop out LOL<
but she's an awesome retic, a friend of mines is going to buy her soon..he doesn't have plans on breeding her so he's just thrilled to have her. for me, i believe we developed a BAD relationship LOL< her head is just getting massive...& getting bit, well i dont even jerk back anymore i just put my hand in there and get tagged just to change her water. & she's not stressed @ all
she doesn't care about a hook & she's never hid!

Keep her cage totally covered so she doesn't keep striking at the glass which is going to eventually damage her tip scales. Get a pair of gloves til she gets used to being handled. The above suggestion is also excellent. Some snakes though never break. If she doesn't I would trade her for something else to a more experience handler who loves the challenge. Makes you want to smack the shit out of her don't it??? I had one that was fine til she went to live food ... then she stayed wild.

& she even eats f/t jumbo rats! I asked bob Clark awhile back if feeding her f/t help calm her down? & he said no! But she still eats f/t with a live feeding response. So I do not believe feeding your snake live kepted it wild...maybe its because you never handled her enough OR maybe you were just being abusive towards her! HUH? LOL<;-o & NO I did not wish to smack the shit out of her! She's just being her! Which I love!!!!!!!!!
