This is good, but I noticed something in the video that might confuse a newbie - where it mentions planting lettuce and adding manure. Please note that it's not a good idea to fertilize *carrots* with manure because it makes the carrot hairy. (He meant the fertilize the ground for lettuce, but someone might get confused and think he meant carrots...)

Just wondering. I live in Asian region (a tropical climate) and I've tried growing carrots and they seem to grow. How long does it take until they are of decent size? I've waited 90 days (as mentioned in some websites) but err.. the biggest I pulled out was only the size of my forefinger. I'm the only person in my neighbourhood (if not town haha) that grows carrots btw and I'm growing them in a container.

Mine were ravaged by something that ate the tops so I have more baby carrots than anything this year. Planting some for fall right now in hopes of having more before winter.

those are some nice carrots, I have to wait til the end of next month to harvest mine... I cant wait. looking forward to making some beef stew with mine. thanks for the vid...
