Joey's WRX on the winter wheels.
Probably pretty boring to watch but we had fun.

2009 Subaru Impreza WRX
In response to criticism that the new 2008 WRX was too soft, some changes were made for the 2009 model year. The EJ25 received a boost of 41 horsepower (31 kW) and 18 lb·ft (24 N·m) of torque, bringing the total output to 265 bhp (198 kW; 269 PS) and 244 lb·ft (331 N·m) of torque by swapping the previous TD04 turbo to an IHI VF52. This WRX is capable of 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and a standing 1/4 mile in 13.5 seconds at 105 mph (169 km/h).[5] In addition, the 2009 model received stiffer suspension parts from the STi model, an aerodynamic package and summer performance tires as standard equipment. The WRX is also only available with 5-speed manual transmission. The 4-speed automatic is only available on a new Impreza model called the 2.5 GT, which features the same 2.5L 4-cylinder 224 bhp (167 kW; 227 PS) Subaru Boxer Turbo engine as in the 2008 WRX.

  • Is this the AWD version?

  • @rube1995 ...Every Subaru after like 1996 is AWD.

  • what snow tires are those? do you like them?

  • Pretty sure they're Bilzzacks. Yeah he loves them, since the car is undrivable in snow with the factory rubber.

  • @ATCRyderX im picking up my 09 wrx today undriveable with the stock tires i guess i better pick up anthoer set of wheels for winter then

  • @dropem555 I dont know if they still come with the same tires from the factory but I think his were Pirellis and they were like straight Summer Rubber - looked kinda like a rear street bike tire. My buddy in this vid got rid of his 09 and has a 2011 now with the redesigned WideBody look.
