@1993MovieMan Julian worked with a dialect coach to deliberately lose the accent. the way he sounds here is prety much his regular speaking voice now. He was in an interview saying his accent only comes when he's in Australia with his old friends and after he's been drinking...in other words, it's pretty much gone now. He has to make an effect now to actually sound Australian...it's still in there but I wouldn't say he has an Australian accent in real life if this is the way he talks now.

@Cloud10v35Aerith He worked really hard with a dialect coach to lose the accent when he came to the States. He felt he'd get more roles without the Aussie accent-which can be really hard to understand. I think he's been without it so long, it's kind of gone. He was on an Australian talk show saying it comes back when he's in Australia with his old buddies after a few drinks. He then talked with a strong Australian accent joking around. It sounds nothing like the voice he has in the U.S.

@Cloud10v35Aerith Julian DOES have An Aussie Accent in Real Life ! He JUST plays A LOT of Americans and Europeans living in America so his Natural Aussie Accent is sort of intermixed with An Assumed American Accent ! Ioan`s Welsh of Native American descent and he plays A LOT of Americans AS WELL !

@Kombatanent Apparently , Julian auditioned with Several Accents including A Thick Eastern European Accent similar to A Romanian Accent ( which is how The Latverian Accent was described in The Comics )but The Filmmakers felt it would be hard for The Viewers to understand so they told him to use An American Accent with Occasional Hints of European Ancestry slipping through , explaining he`d lived in America for many years in The Film !
