Pay attention to her stomach after she says her line "I Van... The line is "I Danced with Van Johnson. She's laughin because her stomach is moving in and out- and she's trying to turn her face away from the cameras.

@magpieeye That oh oh is her mother, she was always there in the audience. The laughter was never canned. Even when one episode with little Ricky was shot without an audience, they later on played the episode in front of an audience, recorded the laughter and aired it on tv. Laughter was never canned, not until nearing the end of Comedy Hour.

@123sweetgigimusic Back then, retakes were rare when they were shooting I Love Lucy, so unless something drastic occurred, pretty much what happened was what went on the film.
