This song..is so sad..everytime my mom hears it she cry so badly... especially the part that says "u never missed the water ,untill the well run dry just like your mother when she closes her eyes" because her mom die..I just can't see her in pain..cause it hurts me so much...I wish I can have my mom forever.. she is my heart..she always comes first. "Oh God please have mercy on my mom as she care for me when was small & unto today" I LOVE U MOM!

this is a very good song thanks for sharing. i am looking for a song played when i was a child about 20 years ago. its a folk song about the reaason why a mother cry at their daughters wedding. i think it was played on a mother's day in the early 90's on the radio any ideas any one. please help.

David you did an amazing job re singing this song. I love the enhanced version. I won't compare you with the original version .. that was great by itself. But we certainly do live in a New Age.. we needed an upgraded version. I appreciate the effort you put into your work with this song. Live Love and Laugh. Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers out there.. everyday is mother's day.. I just called my amazing mother to tell her how much I love her and my kids enjoy this tune lots.. Cheers :)
