I will certainly shoot some pics of it and send them your way! I have always been on the fence about leaving it original and getting the engine running again, or restoring it. The difficult thing about that though, is that the paint looks like the paint they used to use on tonka trucks. I have also heard that the yellow ones are very rare. I don't think that I'd ever sell it, but I have always wondered what the value on one is.

@colonelodem I would love to see photos or video of your Solex! The date on the engine, 14-3-1966, is actually the date of approval and not the date of manufacture, and this same date is cast into the top of every Cyclomoteur 3800 engine. I actually have a yellow velosolex that looks just like this (only lots more rust and USED to run) I used to ride around on it all the time, lots of fun! I don't know a whole lot about it, but the engine says 1967. These are great mopeds, still made almost the very same today even. Just goes to show, if you get something right the first time, leave it alone.
