I get that they are a christian band but this song has absolutely NOTHING to do with christianity and more towards oppression and the fight for your right to be free no matter what the cost. If you believe in the marxist/communist ideas and understandings then this music video/song will make ALOT more sense to you then the idea that its about God or jesus or the Bible. Their Biography states that they r all Majors in Sociology/History and have beliefs in Communism ideas.

i didn't even knew they were Christian, if they are, at least now "Stare at the sun" makes more sense to me and it's not like it made any difference on how awesome they are.

Thrice has done their job. They aren't a band that screams for God per se even tho some of their stuff comes str8 out of the Bible. They intentionally quote from CS Lewis about what Lewis called "sneaking around the dragon". Basically writing Biblical ideas in ways that ppl won't jump at immediately and be like "that's out of the Bible" (with whatever judgements may come after that). May the very fact that you think they aren't a Christian band be a seed to brighter days in ur future. God Bless
