the turbo will take warm air and the intercooler is not able to cool it down enough.

so it makes it les efficent.

It needs a heat sheild and a cold air feed pipe, but a conial air filter is MUCH better than a sealed air box. It's to increase ENGINE breathing, the same as an exhaust system would. The air filter isnt boy racery... it's a good mod on a turbo'd car, period. It needs to breath properly, especially if tuned, and not only that, because the engine has to work less it gives BETTER fuel economy when cruising.

Take that crappy air filter off and use a proper one in a sealed box. You are DECREASING performance by sucking in hot air from the engine. You need *COLD* air, not engine temperature. You will see a noticable improvement. You were conned when you bought the boy racer air filter. All it does is slow you down.
