Wrestling Roundtable #22 9/28/08 Part 1 - Brock Lesnar/Heath Herring

This may not be for our usual viewing audience, but if not, time for them to widen their palettes! For the week of September 28th, 2008, the panel discusses former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar's latest fight at UFC(Ultimate Fighting Championship) 87 against "Texas Crazy Horse" Heath Herring. Originally scheduled to fight new UFC Hall Of Fame inductee Mark Coleman, what were our initial impressions of Brock's latest fight? Was "The Next Big Thing" being too cautious? Was he nervous? Why didn't he got for a win? Was it because he was being careful, or doesn't know how to finish a fight? Did we expect him to get by Herring? Or for Herring to dismantle him? Was it smart to start off the fight with a flying knee, knowing how important the fight was? In that same vein, was Brock being way too cocky? Was his taunting during and/or after the fight warranted? Was it disrespectful or just part of the show? Did Brock significantly improve his MMA game or learn from his first fight this past February against Frank Mir? With his upcoming fight against UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture coming up this November in mind, will Brock gas in a title fight? Can Brock's cardio from pro wrestling (like in an Iron Man match, for instance) be compared to an MMA title fight? Hosted by Eric Santamaria.

Brock talks shit, but everyone forgets that Heath Herring talked shit about Brock for being a pro wrestler. Just like Mir talked shit about Brock.

People were so pissed about Brock's antics, but nobody says anything about the Mir video where his training partner & he are mocking Brock.

I find it a little funny how people in america are going crazy at how pro wrestlers are going into MMA. Japanese wrestlers were already doing this in the late 80's and mid 90's with akira Meada and Takada joining IWF and pancrase. I just like how america is always last to do something and sometimes think they did it first.
