Ko Samed is a small Isle on Thailand's Eastcoast. The Isle's 2nd face is, "the Garbage Isle". We walk around and we only see Garbage, everywere. This is a National Park, we paid 200 Bath entrance-fee, and a Thai paid only 40 Baht (???).
With the Money the Staff keeping clean the Isle, but only in mind!!! We dont see anybody cleaning!! So we stay 10 days and we decide we dont come back,we looking for a clean place. We want enjoy Hollyday,we cannot enjoy in a Trashcan!!!!

  • Very sad,

greedy locals only interested in taking money and not in taking care of customers and the island

  • I've been there 5 times, last time was dec'09, and I was shocked. It was a nice, almost clean place the first time I got there, but with the increasing amount of tourists (especially the russians on the left hand side of main street behind the park office) it turned into the garbage can you show in this vid. If you know where to look you can still find some quiet clean places... btw, next time you go there, save the 200 Baht by passing the office after 9pm, they're closed by then ;-)
