Poor cat, looks like he likes to walk but his toy is too heavy and does not spin good. The cat wheels that are on stands spin freely and the cat can enjoy a nicer walk instead of a back stretch like these models. looks like his owner needs to make a better wheel.

This is my first wheel, it was about 42" in diameter if memory serves. I gave it away two years ago. The new one is made out of Sonotube, 36" diameter. It is still not as free spinning as the one on your own channel, but cats seem to like the exercise.

I don't think even Jon can get Garfield to exercise ;)
I do have another cat - a somali - who also runs in the wheel, if only to get me to do something for him, like turn the water on in the shower, so that he can splash in puddles.

You need to refine your design. I really like the fact that you can look at it. Your track could be a bit smaller. Why is there something on top? Is it to keep the wheel in position?

I'm building a new wheel next week - a little smaller and a lot lighter. The cover on top of the existing one is for cat's safety - he jumps on top of the wheel all the time and I do not want him to hurt himself by spinning into the rollers.

He tasted all of the plants once and he is not interested any more except for the palm tree leaves that he chews a little bit once in a while.
