I saw this on Cartoon Network's "O Canada!" once and I've never forgotten it since.

@Friedtwizzler Nah, I know you weren't questioning his creativity. I'm just saying, it's one of Condie's little quirks that made this cartoon memorable for me, among many others. :)

Admittedly, I'm not Canadian, but I can be in Canada in 45 minutes if I want to be. Or as I like to call it, "Canadian but without the guilt." :p

My sister and I watched it in O canada. Then it disappeared. My sister searched it for long while hoping to see this again. I remember us watching it laughing as the apprentice was still knocked out on the floor(he was already knocked out-the next scene was the same) soon after-the gong. We thought the gong was funny too. we would imitate it. Now she found it and I pointed at the screen "That's the O canada cartoon remember?" "Yeah I thought it was different though." Now she's "meh." I never watched this cartoon because of the meaning of the tree in the end. I watched it bcuz I was younger at that time and I didn't know you could make a cartoon sounding like they gargling water the whole time!!! Lol!

One of the most memorable cartoons in my childhood. I love it! Back then this was just a random weird cartoon but watching it now, I can see the meaning behind it. Thank you for posting this up!
