Darra and Doug's Swing Wedding

For those planning a wedding, feel free to borrow any ideas from our swing wedding! Money that could have gone for the venue and/or tent went to the live band, in our case, the Winiker Orchestra Swing Band.

Darra Garrison and Doug Sweetser got married on Oct. 21, 2006 at the Groton First Universalist Parish. Over a hundred of their friends and family were able to attend. It was a classic, sunny fall day in New England. Everyone looked great, decked out in dresses and zoot suits.

After a year of editing, this video was presented to Darra for the first year anniversary. In its initial form, the video gained over a thousand views, ten times more than actually went to the event. Alas, a large media company sent a takedown notice due to 77 seconds of the sound track. That section has been edited, and our wedding video is back on line. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do now with our little girl Elle.
