Don't tell me you were filming this WHILE YOU WERE DRIVNG??!! That's just scary...

In a modern roundabout, the drivers INSIDE the circle have the right-of-way. They DO NOT STOP, EVER. The same rule applies for the overwhelming majority of rotaries in Massachusetts. Old-style NJ traffic circles are exactly the opposite; I risked my neck once negotiating the US202 / NJ 12 / NJ 31 traffic circle.
Once you get used to modern roundabouts, you won't be compelled to stop for traffic entering a thoroughfare WHILE YOU'RE ON THE THOROUGHFARE.

Yes!!! And Massachusetts tried the system first on its rotaries simply by changing the right-of-way law so the traffic entering had to yield to the traffic within. Unfortunately there is still one traffic circle there where the old rule still applies, The East Longmeadow Rotary that is owned by the town and not the state. And the town authorities were STUPID enough to put the yield signs facing the traffic INSIDE the rotary!!!!!

my home town, the best city in newjersey, we got it all newyork 10 minutes away , atlantic city, the best place center of the worlddddddddd, newyork clifton yeaaaaa
Worst thing Clifton has ever done i really think they let a retard design it! all surrounding stores went down 20% due to people avoiding the circle. Also a tractor trailer is unable to go completely around. CPD sucks.

@w8lifter201 I'm aware of some fixable flaws with this roundabout. Modern Roundabouts have proven to work all over the world, even for "tractor trailer" trucks. Seeing as how they do work, why don't you enlighten us with an example of a roundabout that you do like? To save us all some time, please understand the difference between a modern roundabout (invented in the 1960's and brought to the US in the 1990's), and an older traffic circle seen all over New Jersey.

roundabouts come from europe, we are using them for over more then 20 years...

First, you made the exact same comment on two of my videos. Second, they have been in Europe for 50 years. Third, the name "modern" has been given to them to differentiate them from older roundabouts pre-1960 and traffic circles. Older roundabouts didn't work too well and so many have a bad connotation attached to them but almost all of these negative sentiments are null and void when we're talking about newer roundabouts or modern roundabouts (invented in England in the 1960's).

When did you have these close calls? Before or after? It was certainly a lot more dangerous before and whoever designed the new roundabout configuration seemed to be drunk while attempting to draw the lanes on the road. A true modern roundabout exceeds in all categories vs older traffic circles, traffic light intersections and stop signs.

Fuck the asshole that built that roundabout!
It was fine until they modernized it.
IDIOT!

Would you care to actually offer something intellectual? Why do you feel that way? The approaches before encourages high speeds on the one road and forced cars to stop and dangerously merge on the side road. Older traffic circles are no where near as safe as modern roundabouts. Those safety stats you can find anywhere. Also the capacity on a modern roundabout is much higher and yet it takes less overall space. So, what's your problem with it? Your post didn't provide much.
