JFK traveled to Vietnam as a young Congressman and he clearly saw and was told by senior US diplomats that if the US got involved in Vietnam then we would lose. He also believed that the North Vietnamese were rabidly Nationalistic due to hundreds of years of domination by foreign powers, most recently the Franch. They wanted freedom and JFK was eager to negotiate a peace between the South and the North and remove our troops. The PENTAGON, the CIA & the GOP wanted WAR. They killed him.
