A very honest song. Most of us are blessed by the happy accident of being born in a time or place where we have food to eat and a place to sleep. I admire John's self-scrutiny. I too am a fortunate one, and I am thankful. John Gorka has special vision that sees beneath the surface and a wonderful way of expressing this insight. ~NAncy

Assuming that an individual has "privilege" merely due to the pigment in her skin is a toxic proposition that divides more than heals. It's a shame to see John Gorka regurgitating this nonsense.
