VG Flash #28 - Hometown

Hey again! On May 7th, The Speed Gamers will start their Mother marathon! Or "Earthbound" as it's also known. There are only three games in the series, but they're some of the best games ever made!

Not only that, but Let's Play star ChuggaaConroy (www.youtube.com/user/chuggaaconroy) will be playing in the show, and Fangamer (www.fangamer.net) will be donating some great Mother-themed prizes for you to win! 100% of the donations go to the Susan G. And since I've been getting some messages about this, I guess I'll address it here. THE REASON THE CREDIT SEQUENCES ARE EITHER CRAZY-SHORT OR STUPIDLY LONG: As you may have noticed, many of the songs I use are remixed from older songs. Games tend to re-use music, and the original versions are usually much simpler than the ones you hear today. As such I like to use the originals in the credits. Sometimes the original tune is very short, sometimes it's even longer than the new version. I try to include the whole song when possible, so those unfamiliar with the subject matter can compare the two. So no, this isn't about tormenting anyone with hilariously slow-moving credits. I promise.

I've just found Earthbound recently, and I think it deserve as much recognition as many of the games today receive. Another great (and cute) work Ptera! And the Speedgamers are a worthy cause to donate to if ever there was one.
