People around me don't even know what an "arab" is. And this is a university in Canada. People in North America live on their own little planet. It took me half a day to explain that the people in the ME are ethnically diverse and that Arabs and Persians are different from Indians and Pakistanis.

@goooooooooooooz Im from the UK and Asians are usually Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan. And Chinese are just Chinese, or on ocassion, Oriental. Its amazing how many times ive explained this to some American friends xD. Also as your Iranian, do you get annoyed when news reports mention you as Arabs?
