Third Day joined by Bethany Olds, Trevor Morgan, Shawn Lewis and Jason Hoard play a really awesome version of the Devil Went Down to Georgia in Grand Prairie Texas at the Nokia theatre.
If something as innocent as this song concerns you, my recommendation would be to relax and look more closely at the life of Christ. Look at His followers, look at His friends, and take a deep breath. This song comes nowhere near lifting the enemy up. Besides that, the man who wrote the song is a born again Christian. Relax and let God work through the talents he has given to these guys.
@Day12My: Well, sometimes people will do that. They will tame something into something different. The difference with being a follower, it is altered and used for God's glory. That's what they were doing here. Also, since it's of the world, it's possible that they used this song in this manner as a witnessing purpose as well to draw those who don't know the Lord over to witness to them. Maybe that's what it is. That's the best I could think of anyway. Hope this helped bud. :)
(ran out of room sorry)its our choices. I got to keep working on staying vigilant and sober and focused on the Lord so that this won't happen. I don't want anybody to go there. God doesn't want anybody to go there. He didn't even create Hell for us. It was made for Satan and his demons, but now Satan is using the time he has to drag people who have rejected God down there, because he wants to take as many as he can, because that's where he's going when the hour is up.
@jjbb81: because he's a follower of God and we followers are not to have filthy mouths and filthy thoughts and filthy actions because it's evil. The Scripture talks about that too. People that lived a sinful life that died and went to Hell and then come back again report that profanity and blasphemy is utterly worse there than here. Also there's total isolation from people, eternal torment, no relief from depression, hunger, thirst and loneliness. It's not God Who puts us there, it's us, our ch
