If he doesn't come to call on you, you don't need him in your life because it's not ment to be and you can't make someone love you. You WILL find the right guy and you want the right guy, regardless if you have a child with someone else.
I think you fell in love with someone who does not exist in this guy.
Think of this:You are cheating the REAL guy who you are ment to be with if you continue to stay with this guy who doesn't love you.

Kevin was diagnosed autistic when he was 2 and a half. Before hat, he was normal or "neuro-typical". Being a single dad, it was hard on me, but it became hard for him too as he became ill. I think enviromental factors are involved besides our genetics. I have watched my son suffer many times in ill health and the best of doctors scratching their heads. I had to take over his health issues, reaching out to naturopathic doctors. Our journey has been hard and expensive! But, Kevin and I are as one!

I'm Gary. Single dad of a 19 yr old autistic son. Never been married. His mother is Bi-polor and doesn't take her medication. She and I split up when he was 8 months old. We went to court over child custody.I was granted custody. He was not autistic at the time. I filled for guardianship when he turned 18. She's no longer in our life and that is a good thing for he and I.I am still single and he still lives with me and will until he decides he doesn't want to anymore.
He is my love and my life.

Why are you and your friend driven to persue such a healthy task?
The mind is a system of such a super computer, of that we have never seen.
BUT! The mind is of flesh, neurons, and many things affect it toward the positive and negative.
Keep this in mind:
My son acts as if he is a cave man.Has intelligence yes, but he is like a cave man who was thawed out and is presented to the society of today.

@TheLordBatman I personally believe that the human race future can be judged by the magnitude of the epidemic of autism.
To "cool the oven", the "experts" will soon segregate clinical autistic from Aspergers(high functioning autistics)...this will make the autism "epidemic" vanish.
There is no cause and no cure, but there is alot of ideas of where it comes from. I can introduce you to many top people in the autism community that can provide you with grants.
