Wow. If Chris wasn't godlike (or god.) enough now he plays lead guitar. Unreal. He just keeps growing as a musician. It's funny that he's so self-conscious about his age; if there's anyone who should be unphased about birthdays it's Chris.
Regardless, Zep made the song famous and they put their own twist to it. Also if you listen to the bridge riff to "babe I'm gonna leave you" its the same chord progression as "25 or 6 to 4" by chicago transit authority (aka Chicago). So ya zep copied some stuff. All I was doing was calling the crows out on it, it doesn't make them any less talented.
Actually "babe i'm gonna leave you" is not an original zeppelin song to begin with. It was first played in the 50's and had been covered MANY times in the 60's.
Crowes are SICKKKK!!! and zeppelin is EPIC!!!, at least there is no debating that.
I'm referring to the fact that the riff in this song is ripped off from Led Zeppelins "No Quarter" and "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You." You guys can give me all the thumbs down you want but it doesn't change the fact that I know Zep and I know when someone's ripping off their riffs, but I digress.
cant find the new album here yet seen them in laughlin they were great my 16 yo girl loved it have never heard of them before and was blown away by walk believer walk loved it and became an instant fan
The Black Crowes took high energy songs to a new level with this one. . . When Chris explodes screaming after the solo it sends shivers up and down my spine. ..
They are the best band in North America for sure, and the Stones last album wasnt a big deal. But I dont think BC are bigger than AC/DC.

the crowes probably are the only band left that keep the rock 'n roll soul alive!

RIGHT NOW
The Crowes can do anything.
RIGHT NOW
The Crowes are the greatest R&R band we have here in the states, and I think, the world.
