Arturo "Thunder" Gatti v Tracy Harris Patterson. 15/12/1995. Junior Lightweight Title (1st defense of Patterson). Location: Madison Square Garden, New York, New York, USA. Gatti was busier from the outside, while Patterson picked his spots. Ultimately, the judges favoured Gatti's workrate over Patterson's cleaner punches.
Gatti scored a flash knockdown in round 2, dropping Patterson with a lead right uppercut. Gatti suffered from a worsening right eye puff from round five, and a left eye cut in round ten

If gatti was a little faster he would have been a complete fighter, so great on the inside, great on the outside, decent counters and fantastic at pushing forwards, could box and brawl, not to mention he had loads of power... & a chin like a brick wall!!!!! If only he had more speed he'd have been unstoppable
