This was a stinking hot day. Seriously hot. Taken about 5:30pm. I've forgotten what this is called... sundog? Or something?

Edit- A Chemtrail? Never heard of it but I'll look it up.

Sorry about quality and speed, it was taken with a camera phone.
Taken on the 7th of November, 2008. Around 5:30pm-6pmish.
Exact location was Bellmere, Queensland, Australia.

  • Natives call that a sun dog..usually there's another opposite on other side of sun.

These are rare and good omens too...

Since before oct 14th and still to this week I've seen about 10 of them.....now that's unusual.

About as unusual as 5 white buffalos being born when only one was prophecised.

  • Go see the latest one I saw :D

  • @ihatechemtrails OMG, did you ever see aluminum in your life? It is NOT translucet, light does NOT flow through aluminum. It does reflect light, but reflection does NOT form a rainbow, only REFRACTION. I don't know what "idiot box" is.

I know that you have all the other argument and stories, but man, please be enough sane to accept that aluminum simply can't create a rainbow effect in the sky.

  • @hypercub keep believing that what you learned in high school is true, I bet you think what's on the idiot box is also true. Wake the fuck up!

  • @ihatechemtrails Wow, you didn't learn much in high school, did you?

Rainbows don't form form reflection, but by refraction! Aluminum is not see-through matter, it cant refract light. This type of phenomenon is formed ba water crystals, that actuall can refract light.

  • i saw something like that in nevada, and have been boggled by it up until i saw your video comments. it is a cool thing to see.

  • it's a chembow caused by light reflecting off of the aluminum particles sprayed by the tanker plane, (chemtrails).

  • @Neithie Was it all white or are you talking about the solar halo? The halo is often seen complete in the winter months. The parhelic circle is supposed to be rarely seen complete.

  • @xxdamonxx77 I've seen many of the full ones... how rare can they be? They're all over the place!

  • well caught, been capturing the same over here in England.. seen about 3 in the last week or so including today.. Ive posted a timelapse of one of these things with chemtrails passing over.. Thank you

  • You saw a sundog with a portion of a parhelic arc. To see a full parhelic arc is rare but is possible.
