"Get Down, Make Love", written by Mercury, is among the most sexual-oriented songs in the Queen catalogue.
The distinctive 'psychedelic' sound effects heard in the song were not produced on a synthesizer, but on May's Red Special and an Electroharmonix Frequency Analyzer pedal. These sound effects, together with Mercury's moans and groans, were expanded upon during live renditions of the song, presenting the band an opportunity to show off the full potential of their stage lights and effects.

  • @fistowar What I get from it is the robot is a representation of the fans, on the inside cover it has the robot breaking open the top of the stadium and reaching in from the top over the screaming fans to collect Queen. Thus, it wants to hold onto something beautiful, but it holds on too tightly and destroys the very thing it sought to love. Reference possibly " Of mice and Men".

  • What is the cover art saying?

  • @EbiSmolarek7 All over your keyboard no less

  • @bbcjcmb1888 That's what she said...?

  • This tune ROCKS!

  • It gets trippy as fuck at 2:35

  • This song makes it taste better ;)

  • When I first saw this album cover as a kid it scared me, the robot finger dripped in blood and the dead band members... chilling.

  • @pigjubby Maybe your thinking of sucking on some pole, that's okay, but I'm thinking of licking some nasty ass poon tang when I listen to this song. Anyway, the most underrated Queen song ever.
