Disarray
Copyright 2009 Jackal Music

Why the things you say make me wanna go away?
All the good I do is wasted all away on you
I'm leaving town, bet you won't even sport a frown
You'll soon be sleeping in your brushed back satin gown
I'm sorry for the mess but it had to be this way
Time and time again I felt my love of life decay
My soul's not here, it's gone astray
The highway's more appealing than this disarray.

On the road I go, my destination only Jesus knows
Laying by a stream, I see her ghost, I start to scream
My thumb is pointing west, think I'll give Tucson the old test
I got some friends out there, I think I'll get some rest.
With just a bag of clothes and collections by Monet
Some old dusty boots and lots of Beaujolais.
I commend my spirit to your hands I pray
Perhaps my life won't always know such disarray.

Gone to see this land. My dear friend could you lend a hand?
I ain't asking much, just some food and booze and such
My ears have heard some stories, my eyes have seen some things
I'll keep you entertained, let me just tell you one little thing
I'm running from the law, I just had to get away
But those who put me here deep inside they will pay
But I don't hold grudges, I don't have no shame
It's all good for me, all this disarray
