As most of you probably already know, I was recently at the Apple Store in SoHo, New York City. Throughout the day select store employees offer free workshops to their visitors, which I find to be really cool. They are now offering an Apple TV workshop as you can see from this video.

Now I didn't film the entire thing, but I did capture about 15 minutes of footage for all to see. For more information regarding the Apple TV, point your Web browser to: www.apple.com/appletv

Enjoy.

  • what if apple came out with a video game console? id like to see that

  • I think they tried that a while ago, but it didn't work out. I'm not 100% sure of that, though. However, I don't see Apple getting into the gaming market anytime soon, nor do I really want them to.

  • Wow, that was an excellent walk through, when i went to Manhattan on spring break last year (2006) they were building a Cinema or something on the second floor of the SoHo Apple Store...is that it?

I also saw a workshop of the iMac god it was great!

  • I know the theater has been there for longer than that... perhaps they were just updating it? I'm not sure.

  • She said 1080i, i think the TV (thats an apple if you cant see it) is only 720

  • You are indeed correct! I felt like speaking up, but I didn't want to spoil the excitement. Glad you caught that one! Someone's paying attention. :)

  • dis beech

  • @KevinIsSoAwsome

Because it does things your computer doesn't do, in a format that works really well, using a remote, and brings several devices together. We have 3 macs, 5 ipods, 2 iphones, and an ipad. When we want to watch something, we don't worry about where it is, how to get it there, etc., We just watch it - and Apple TV is part of that.

  • she sounds like one of those sales reps on the tv desperately trying to sell something.

  • @thecreativeone It was called the Apple Pippin, but it was manufactured (or something like that) by Bandai. It is one of the rarest systems though.
