The question of integrity has been triggered by the apparent disquiet over the background of newly elected Member of Parliament for Makadara Gideon Mbuvi alias Mike Sonko. The new MP has been reported widely as having a questionable past that includes a jailbreak. But while defending Sonko who was elected on her party ticket, NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua clashed with Prime minister Raila Odinga when she declared that majority of MPs were tainted. Karua claimed some ministers would miserably fail the integrity test amid protests from the prime minister. Rashid Ronald reports.
did they hold that meeting in someones living room?

the upshot is simply that the holier than thou martha karua who purpoted 2 resign frm gvt over inaction on corruption is really no different- she's ur average kenyan politician.

@TheFirimbi You're absolutely right. You hit the nail on the head. Corruption starts from primary school with teachers, parents & examiners + the pupils all working together to cheat. This is the pioneer lesson of disasters to come. From there, its all bribes, nepotism, tribalism, rigging, hatred & ethnic clashes!

let the boy be .. Raila should look for better things to do (he thinks ndolo is clean haha) ... this guys in the house have no right to questions anybodies integrity ... and anyway even if he has been to jail so what ? Prison is meant for reform not punishment ... at-least respect the guy for doing his time ... 90 % of the people in that house steal from poor Kenyans and haven't served time yet ...

Raila is wrong here, dont compare an Mp and a minister serving in the government, dont point a kiraka in someone else pants when shown yours and say the other one is bigger than yours.

democracy in kenya can only be obtained if illiteracy is dealt with . we need to open our eyes and make decisive decisions in electing a leader without basing on the depth of their pockets but focusing on the content of their character, leadership and education qualification.many of our people are lured easily by money and sweet talks by politician

@bethukip But I was not born during the Kenyatta regime. I talk of the Moi regime n its crime cos I lived under it and saw first hand as Ruto and the gang of YK92 plaundered every state resources with great impunity. I talk of goldenberg, aglo leasing and pev because they happened in my time. Telling me abt the Kenyatta days wont help. I will keep talking of what I have seen. I am a messed youth of the Moi regime. Yes Moi not Kenyatta.
