AH! I have been looking for this forever! I grew up listening to his trans of this from the Van Cliburn medalist CD, but I lost the CD years ago... His ending is so much more ferocious! Its perfect for an encore. I WANT it.

but he broke the string !!!! haha ! great version. it really sounds like horowitz, i've discovered a wonderful artist, and a handsome one :)

well, he was Horowitz's protege which may be why so much of his style and technique rubbed off on him, either that or he's a very rare breed of dying romantic pianist

I have his c.d. which is chalk full of transcriptions. The Valle d'Obermann is definitely worth a hear!
