Emerge 2: Set in Motion will release the artistry of seven emerging choreographers in a showcase of new dance and performance works by local artists. Performance dates are May 22-24 and 28-31, 2009.

Sarah Bolton is a dancer and choreographer with Project: Motion. She received her BA in Dance from Belhaven College and spent her early years of training with Theresa Slobodnik and Gilbert Reed at American Dance in San Luis Obispo, California. She has also performed with the Gilbert Reed Ballet and Entourage Dance Company. Sarah has studied a wide variety of dance styles and techniques, including modern, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, clogging, musical theatre, improvisation, and choreography.

Not only is she dedicated to her art, but she is also highly active in the larger community - while working with the Orpheum Theatre she assisted in developing partnerships with various Memphis organizations, including the Memphis Zoo, the Pink Palace Museum, the Children's Museum, and the Center City Commission. Sarah also works as a freelance writer for several local publications and is currently a full time MA student at the University of Memphis.
