This version is fine in its own way. I wouldn't want it to be the definitive but I enjoyed it.

I think this version's arrangement lacks the finesse of the original, but the singing is not bad.

I would say dolly does a really good job, unlike detractors here above. Sure hers in not Petula's 60's version, but it's got the same feel and energy.

Back in 1988, I found The Great Pretender on CD at the mall for 99 cents, and they also closed out Rhinestone for 99 cents! Both of those CDs go for about $300-$600 on Ebay. I still have all the "Rainbow" promo posters too.
