http://www.ted.com Wael Ghonim is the Google executive who helped jumpstart Egypt's democratic revolution ... with a Facebook page memorializing a victim of the regime's violence. Speaking at TEDxCairo, he tells the inside story of the past two months, when everyday Egyptians showed that "the power of the people is stronger than the people in power."

  • It's not a gift from allah. People worked hard for this, don't pretend your god gave it to you. If he was to careless to leave you to rot for years on end why would he be on your side the moment the people decide to do something about it ?

  • Good fairy tale...if not for the fact that revolutions are always backed up by other interested parties...especially US and Europe...so Wael is kind of a scape goat...who puts curtain on the eyes...when billions are spent to jumpstart this kind of revolution...

  • i don't know why this video have hate messages form some people .?

    i think it's a jealousy from Wae :)

  • I've probably meant about 20 or so, but that still doesn't change the fact that they have an IQ of only 85. Sry bud, there just dumb people as a whole... not every single one of course, but as a mass.

Either way you didn't prove any points. Just a bunch of nomadic ramblings.

  • Premative??? and your America did not create a zillion wars in the region? You are a racist idiot... And a huge portion of the Middle East are ALOT more educated than your like... How many Arabs have you met in your life? Let me guess.. Zero? If you wanna insult us, then at least spell it right... It's "primitive", you primitive ape..

  • I have nothing against third world people. Its just history proves that when you give premative people high tech things. Then they'll use it for evil.

I live in America were we have freedom to own guns, but the blacks and mexicans are always killing each other with them.

arabs and twitter = whole region on fire

Arabs and jumbo jets = use as missiles.

Just a few examples that come to my head. And no its not racist, just observant.

  • So if Egypt goes to shit (which it will, real fast) Then will this "hero" be responsible?

  • Inspiring. Yeah. The military is still in charge, and the economy has got worse.

When employment increases, poverty decreases and people have food, water and shelter get back to me.

  • "of why western technology should NEVER be given or shared with third world people".. what the hell do you have against "thrid world people"? and dont get you stereotyped on arabs and jumbo jets????? Stereotype much???

  • You said that 6 months ago. Do you still believe that? I heard the muslim brotherhood or I mean... the "freedom and justice" party just won the majority vote.

Wael Ghonim is a PERFECT example of why western technology should NEVER be given or shared with third world people. Look what he did and how all of Egypt will suffer?

and dont get me started on arabs and jumbo jets...
