It basically makes it where they can turn on the computer but can not actually get into windows or linux or any. when the computer 1st turns on press f12 or whatever. got to security and click enter and then add a password.

  • @2KSbox why do you ask did you forget your password XD

  • Click enter lol

  • @Nephil2012 By using linux... just don't put in your root password if you aren't sure what you are doing and always install updates... youll be fine :)

  • @xChrisTheAmazingx You can remove it by removing the CMOS battery...

  • @2KSbox Ok... this is an easy question that most people here don't seem to know the answer to. To remove the password, unplug your computer. Open the side and remove the CMOS batter and replug the power to your computer. Then just start it up and the password is gone :)

  • Its called BIOS dude... and you realize all you have to do to get by that is take out the CMOS battery. Then just turn the computer on and ALL of those settings are restored to default. The way I lock my computer is by using Ubuntu server so if someone wants to use my computer they not only have to know my username and password but they have to know the command "sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start" and then they have to log BACK in... There is really no point for a BIOS password...

  • how can i remove the password without i know what the password?

    is that possible?

  • And how to Remove the Password??

  • we have the same problem but i manage to get through it cuz its not a true virus its some kind of program that will start at the beginning just press ctrl alt del at the blue screen and end task it

  • Whats the best security against hackers? And how do i find out if a pc is hacked?
